Hernandez netted his 7th goal of Mexico’s Gold Cup campaign last night after another goal for being in the right place at the right time. He showed his striking instincts of scoring by any means and got himself in the way of the ball to direct it goalwards. His celebration was interesting as he ran to the camera and indicated what looked like a message about money-grabbing. Anyone who can tell me more about it would be welcome!

[…] there is nobody in football right now who is more likeable than Javier Hernandez? After scoring his 7th goal against Honduras in the semi-final, he has become the second highest scoring player in the history […]
Shows what I know! Thanks for that JC. I don’t think Hernandez fears anybody right now…he is just phenomenal. Does that make him the top scoring player ever in a Gold Cup for Mexico?
Actually no, there’s another Mexican player that scored 11 goals I don’t remember his name though.
Jose Alves aka Zague apparently holds it I think, with 11 goals I believe.
Actually it’s not about money. The News Paper in Honduras published a note saying “chicharito” would be scared to play against them. And the celebration with his hand for us Mexicans means fear and so he’s basically saying he doesn’t fear them (Honduras).
