Gary Neville took some time out of Manchester United’s tour of the Premier League trophy in Asia to speak to newspaper The New Paper, where he answered questions about recent signings at United and talked about how United will shape up next season. Topics mentioned cover the future of Nani after the signing of Ashley Young, who will emerge as the long term successor at right back and who he would like to see as the replacement for Paul Scholes. When asked about the central midfield position, it looked to me like he was being tight lipped and knew more than he was letting on about whether or not SAF will be bringing someone in, which can only be a good thing! It is a very good interview, take your time to watch it all.
“Well I think the manager will sign a central midfield player because of Owen Hargreaves leaving, Paul Scholes retiring. I know you won’t believe me but the players don’t know about signings, David Gill and the manager keep it to themselves.”
