Whilst the majority of the United squad is out qualifying for Euro 2012, SAF has jetted off to Rome in order to pick up a commemorative award from the University. The ceremony was attended by the president of the Italian football players association Damiano Tommassi, a previous winner of the award, and hundreds of students who were eager to hear SAF and his words of wisdom. The accolade comes less than 6 months after SAF was awarded an honorary degree by Stirling University and it seems like our manager just collects these for fun these days, such is the global image he upholds. Considering UEFA president Michel Platini has won the award before, it represents a great sign of respect for the greatest manager the English league has ever seen and it is nice to see SAF enjoying his 2 week break from Old Trafford. Maybe he will come back and be able to tell Mancini how bad a manager he is…in Italian.
