VIDEO: Nick Powell scores first goal for Manchester United

by Sam Peoples

Nick Powell has netted his first goal for United against Scunthorpe in a pre-season friendly. An impressive performance was capped with this fine finish and with SAF in attendance, it would have done his confidence the world of good as he settles in at United. The 18-year-old was bought for £4 million from Crewe this summer and looks all the part like he is going to mould into a great player. He may not be ready for first team football just yet but if there is a footballing school that is great at nurturing talent, Carrington must be it.

Carrington great at nurturing football talent?
I agree, well it was, don’t forget Nick came from that great academy of Crewe Alexandra. The academy that has turned your rejects into International players
this guy is good and is a star, do not ruin him

What on earth do you mean “looks all the part like he is going to mould into a great player?” Should it not be “looks like he is going to mould into a great player?” Just a minor point, but the comment does seem to be a bit odd.
