Ravel Morrison’s fall from grace set to continue

by Sam Peoples

The Birmingham Mail have reported that Ravel Morrison is set to undergo a medical at Birmingham City ahead of a season long loan move from West Ham United. The 19-year-old was bought from United for an initial £650,000 in January 2011 but only made one appearance as a substitute in an anonymous campaign.

What a fall from grace he is having. Sir Alex gave him chance after chance at United because he was touted as the best raw talent to have emerged out of the academy since the ginger genius himself, Paul Scholes. However, his terrible off the field attitude saw him offloaded to West Ham and it seems like even Sam Allardyce hasn’t even got the time of day for him.

At the time, fans (myself included) were disappointed to see Morrison leave Carrington but suffice to say, we’re sitting pretty smug now. Watching him throw away his talent at United was hard to see but the staff did everything they could to try and turn his fortunes around but he had none of it – surely he regrets it now. The Championship beckons and I’ll be surprised if he gets his head down and works for them when he hasn’t done anything of the sort so far.

As it has always looked, the only way is down for Morrison.

Definitely a rebel who wanted the gang culture rather than the footballl. He only has himself to blame and I do hope he realises the error of his ways. Such a waste of good talent.

What assumptions have I made? He had plentiful chances at United but kept relapsing into the rebel that will ruin his career. Fair assumption I would say.

“and it seems like even Sam Allardyce hasn’t even got the time of day for him.”

He had 1 first team appearance and got sent out on a season long loan next season?

So that means Big Sam didn’t have time for him? Bore off

Pretty cheap attempt at getting hits.

You’ve a few assumptions in here without knowing the full story, congrats. Had he still been at United and gone out on loan would you be making the same assertions? Didn’t think so.
