Robin van Persie wins his first Manchester United honours

by Sam Peoples

Robin van Persie has won Manchester United’s Goal of the Month for August after receiving a whopping 88.9 percent of the overall vote.

The striker has started off his United career in ferocious form netting four goals in his first two starts and has instantly started to repay the £24 million splashed out on him.

The 29-year-old was not an ordinary signing for United, who normally buy young and nurture talent but the impact he has made has been felt throughout the whole team and with Wayne Rooney out, van Persie has slotted seamlessly into the United line-up.

His class and goals have already boosted United massively and we are only three games into a 38 game season. After losing the title on goal difference, Sir Alex certainly brought van Persie in to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

Hopefully, this award will be the first of many honours for the Dutchman as he helps United push on this season to win our title back.

That’s funny..Sir Alex doesn’t want to lose on goal difference. What’s the use of RVP’s goals if they keep making mistakes in the defence? What do you expect when you play a soft midfielder like Carrick in the defense. The defense needs to be sorted out or else RVP’s goals will count for nothing and we might lose on goal difference again.
