Sean McGinty has had his loan with Oxford United terminated with immediate effect.
Nick Coppack, Manchester United’s official journalist, has confirmed that no reason has been officially given as to the early termination of the loan spell that was due to initially run until January.
Sean only managed to make two appearances for Oxford United in the loan move including one start and one late substitute appearance.
The 19-year-old defender joined Manchester United in 2009 and forced his way up and into Warren Joyce’s Reserves with impressive performances in the 2011 FA Youth Cup.
A dislocated shoulder cut his previous loan spell at League Two outfit Morecambe short but this latest termination comes seemingly out of McGinty not being able to force his way into the squad.
He will return to Old Trafford and rejoin the U21 team.
