The King is back at Old Trafford

by Sam Peoples

The King is back.

Eric Cantona will return to Old Trafford tomorrow to attend the unveiling of Sir Alex Ferguson’s statue tomorrow along with a whole host of ex legends including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Gary Neville.

Eric and Sir Alex were the two men who masterminded Manchester United’s first English league title in 26 years back in 1992. The rest is history.

Tomorrow is going to be a fantastic day, not only for Sir Alex Ferguson but the whole club. It is a real testament to the lasting bond that Sir Alex created between himself and players that they would travel to what is likely to be a wet and windy Friday to see the unveiling of his statue.

The list so far of ex-Manchester United players who will be in attendance tomorrow, from Manutd.com:

Eric Cantona
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Dwight Yorke
Gary Neville
Peter Schmeichel
Ruud van Nistelrooy
Edwin van dar Sar
Phil Neville
Andrew Cole
Bryan Robson
Paddy Crerand
Wilf McGuinness
Denis Irwin

Update: The King did turn up alongside a host of other Manchester United legends in what was a fantastic day for the  club and anyone associated with it.
