Anderson is now back in training after being been sidelined since damaging his hamstring against Reading back at the start of December. It was another cruel blow for the midfielder who was in superb form up until he got injured. with his goal against Reading prior to him getting injured reward for his ever improving performances.
Great form followed by injury is the story of Anderson’s career so far at Manchester United. Promising performances rekindle the hope that he can one day be a regular starter but he always seems to be thwarted by injury.
Luckily, this was a short term lay off for Anderson as hamstring injuries tend to be at least six to eight weeks on the sideline. With the knockout stages of the Champions League coming up as well as the FA Cup and Premier League, our fixture schedule is about to get really busy.
Having Anderson fully fit again would be fantastic. Like Nani on the wing, Anderson adds something very different to the middle. Nobody plays like him in the squad and that dynamic variety is what we need if we are going to challenge on all fronts this year. Welcome back Anderson.
