United sell second player during January transfer window with Brady exit

Robbie Brady will be joining Hull City on a permanent deal after a second successful loan spell with the Championship club.

He had been on loan at Hull for the last two months, scoring one goal in 12 appearances, but now it seems that he will make the switch for good.

A fee of £2 million is expected to be paid for the winger who had been developing very well at United and he will join Steve Bruce’s Tigers in their hunt for promotion.

Only this season, he joined the senior squad on the pre season tour and had made his full club debut against Newcastle in the Capital One Cup. Brady also made his first appearance on the international stage for the Republic of Ireland, scoring in a friendly against Oman.

That means that Brady becomes the second player to be sold by United during this January transfer window after Joshua King was sold to Blackburn Rovers this week.

I thought that King could have had a future at Old Trafford but I am not surprised that Brady is seeking pastures new. He was always going to struggle to break into the first team, even plying his trade at left back during pre-season to show his versatility, but to no avail.

Good luck to him and Steve Bruce at Hull City.

Having had both Josk King and Robbie Brady on loan at the KC last season, I am very surprised you think King had a better future than Brady at OT.

Brady has been outstanding for us this season.
