VIDEO: Bebe’s barnstorming Bale-esque run against Benfica

by Sam Peoples

Bebe has had a rather productive time out on loan back in Portugal with Rio Ave. He has started to show glimpses of a genuine talent which hasn’t really flourished at Old Trafford yet.

But Rio Ave aren’t in the best of current form. Last night, Benfica romped Rio Ave 6-1 to make it no wins in six but despite their poor form, Bebe is still trying his hardest to impress.

And this barnstorming run in the 72nd minute was his personal highlight. He picked the ball up in his own half, put his head down and skipped past three Benfica defenders with consummate ease. If only he could get more on the ball than a poor toe poke finish, it would of an incredible solo goal that any player would of been proud of.

Bebe has admitted that he hopes to have a genuine impact when he returns to Old Trafford in the summer and if he keeps producing moments like these, Ferguson will certainly give him his chances.
