Manchester United will be crowned Premier League champions tomorrow night if they can beat Aston Villa after City lost today to Tottenham Hotspur.
And if we do manage to seal the title tomorrow, Robin van Persie would receive a guard of honour the following weekend at the Emirates.
After seven years of nothing at Arsenal, van Persie might finally be able to get his hands on the Premier League trophy. The little boy inside him would certainly be happy.
Arsenal might not be our title rivals any more but it wasn’t so long ago that Keown and co. mocked van Nistelrooy’s missed penalty. So, it would be hard not to enjoy it if van Persie received a guard of honour at the Emirates.
What a sickening betrayal of Wenger too – the man who stood so loyally behind @Persie_Official through years of injury. #VanPursestrings

Poor performance, vital win. Roll on Nightmare #VanPursestrings Sunday… #Arsenal

If Spurs/City result stays like this, and United win tomorrow, we have to give Van Pursestrings a GUARD OF bloody HONOUR on Sunday.

A guard of honour, for the biggest traitor in Arsenal history. At our own ground. I think I'm going to be sick. #VanPursestrings

Arsenal could be 5th in League as we give Van Pursestrings his guard of honour. Gazidis & Wenger's catastrophic decision will be laid bare.

Apparently there are two things Mr P. Morgan can’t seem to get right: assessing football quality and judging artistic talent. In both areas he’s dumb, and his performance revulsive! Well, for the other: hosting talk-shows he does show unarguable talent, especially when he lashes out at gung ho North Americans. Why doesn’t he stick to the latter and save us all this sickening whingeing. All those disagreable perfectionist mien of American Idols appear more like make-believe, if he pretends not to know why RVP left Wenger and his A–e nal (Goners, I mean). So why have a dig at the guy, rather than appreciate his judgment and ambition? Piers Morgan… Piers Morgan… for your troubles, your are lucky gun-tothing American Red Devils know so little ’bout football!!
