Darren Fletcher is scheduled to return to action for Manchester United in the pre-season tour of Asia as his progress continues after bowel surgery, reports suggest.
[Fletch] Darren Fletcher is recovering well after bowel surgery and is scheduled to travel with the team on their pre-season tour #MUFC

The 29-year-old had to pull out of the remainder of the 2012/13 season as his ongoing battle with Ulcerative Colitis and it seemed that it had got the better of him when the club announced he would have to undergo more surgery.
I doubted whether we would get to see the Scot play competitively in a United shirt again but this news is a fantastic boost for both the player and club.
Fletcher’s a real fighter, on and off the pitch, and he won’t call time on his professional playing career until he has exhausted every option available to try and fight off the condition that has thwarted his past few years.
I’m a big fan of Fletcher. His attitude is faultless and his performances, particularly in the 2008/9 season, were full blooded and 100% committed. He left his heart on the pitch and fans loved him for it.
I’d be surprised if we ever saw the Scot play a major role for United next season but just for him to have his full personal health back would be a massive boost for the club who have stuck by him since the start.
Who knows, maybe Fletcher will beat all the odds and return to his match fitness. Either way, the news of his recovery is great and we wish him the best in his full recovery.

I take him as anew signing b/c he is agreat foot baller: who the football fans like to watch him!
A player who can only play the holding position, due to the danger of too much movement, and also considering the fact that he hasnt played a good game against worthy opposition since 2008, I am not superthrilled with this great news

It is a good news for us Utd and for the man, Fletcher. At least, he will be off a creadit to our mild-field come, next season.
