“Thiago is an incredible player that in one or two years will be among the best in the world. I’m happy for him to go to such a big club.” Falque Iago
Thiago Alcantara will definitely be moving to Manchester United according to his former youth team-mate Falque Iago.
The pair spent time together at Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth academy before Iago left for Juventus.
And speaking to The Network Radio, Iago revealed that Thiago would be making the move to Manchester and believed that he would become one of the best in the world very quickly there.
“[Thiago] leaves the club but goes to Manchester United, a club of the same level. It is a big one,” he said.
“At Manchester, he will have more minutes. Thiago is an incredible player that in one or two years will be among the best in the world. I’m happy for him to go to such a big club.”
Iago eventually ended up joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 so has his own experience of the Premier League and despite Thiago’s excellent English skills, Iago warned him that learning the language was his biggest barrier at the start.
He continued: “I advise Thiago especially to learn English.
“When I went (to England) my English was pretty bad and adaptation is very important.”
Thiago’s move to United certainly looks it may well happen and rumours are steadily growing in intensity.
Nothing has been officially confirmed by Barcelona or United yet but expect to hear something in the next few days, even if it is a denial of any deal.
