Manchester United may have struck gold with Wilfried Zaha

There were a lot of positives for Manchester United to take away from the Asian tour this year but the blistering form of Wilfried Zaha was the highlight for many fans.

Nobody would of expected the 20-year-old to have hit the sort of form he did so early but he showed us exactly why United were willing to fork out £15 million to secure his signature.

At every opportunity, he ran directly at the defender with the ball at his feet – a defender’s worst nightmare. More often than not, he beat his defender and got a great cross in.

He netted his first goal in United colours on the tour but if he had been more composed in front of goal and had a little bit of luck on his side, he could of easily finished as United’s top scorer.

I think Zaha has played himself into a starting spot for Swansea on August 17 and the thought of having an in-form duo of Nani and Zaha terrifying defenders on the wings is mouthwatering.
