PICTURE: United are always front page news all over the world

Manchester United have landed in Sydney for the second stop on the 2013 tour ahead of a fixture against an A League All-Stars team on Saturday.

And their arrival is front and back page news in Australia such is the hype surrounding United wherever they go on tour. In Bangkok, Moyes compared the feeling to being in The Beatles and it will be much the same on every stop.

United will be boosted in Sydney by the arrival of David de Gea and Robin Van Persie who have both joined up with the squad following an extra few days rest after a busy summer.

aus-paperThe arrival of Van Persie in particular will be a welcome relief to David Moyes as following Rooney’s departure through injury, Welbeck was the only named striker in his squad.

Although a 1-0 loss against Singha All-Stars in his first game in charge won’t worry him at all, Moyes will want to get into the habit of winning with a victory this weekend.

After United play the A League All-Stars on Saturday, they will fly out to Japan to play two games in a week and Shinji Kagawa will join up with the team there.
