Higuain reveals Mourinho is telling lies about Rooney

by Sam Peoples

Gonzalo Higuain has revealed that Jose Mourinho wants to sign him for Chelsea despite his claims that Wayne Rooney is his only transfer target this summer.

The 25-year-old Argentinian striker told Spain’s AS that the Chelsea boss is keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge and Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis also confirmed that Chelsea were in for Higuain.

“Mourinho wants me there [Chelsea],” Higuain said.

When asked yesterday by journalists if it was a case of signing Rooney or nobody, Mourinho insisted that Rooney was Chelsea’s only transfer target this summer but that is not the case as Chelsea are in for Madrid’s Higuain.

Mourinho continued his tapping up of Rooney today but given that he is looking elsewhere for strikers, Chelsea’s approach of Rooney may simply be nothing more than a smokescreen.

Rooney is clearly unhappy with his current position at United and while that is obvious, The Mirror’s David McDonnell believes that United will not let Rooney go at any cost.

The board will not want to let Rooney go because of his commercial value on the global market and, under the Glazers, that will have a massive bearing on whether he is allowed to leave the club.

All Rooney wants is first team football and if he pulls his socks up, he will be in David Moyes’ first XI every single week.

Plus, the fact that Mourinho has lied to Rooney through the media by claiming he is his only target this summer isn’t a move that is likely to entice Rooney to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho is on his way to destroy Chelsea Club the way he does to Real Madrid, i am so happy that Real Madrid realize that on time and ask him to leave the club, Man U is not afraid of him coming back to a club that chase him away before, Rooney is not for sell and if at all he is for sell, Chelsea is that last club that will buy Rooney. Mourinho is an aggressive coach and he will set Chelsea on fire.

Because he totally destroyed it the last time by winning every single domestic trophy and set up a champions league dynasty team. Yeah he’s doing a wonderful job of destroying Chelsea.

I’m pretty sure that Mourinho wants Rooney. He’s been tossing in little comments and also promoting the bid Chelsea made for him, and even if he’s trying to get under Moyes skin he’s completely in his right because with the way Manchester United has treated Rooney after his nine years of service I’m honestly surprised Rooney hasn’t dropped an egg on the club yet.

Has it occurred to anyone that Mourinho just wants to cause trouble for Moyes and Man U? Moyes is under enough pressure in filling AF’s boots. He doesn’t need Roo kicking off as well. Nothing better for Chelsea/Mourinho to play an ‘unsettled’ Man U in their second game! Jose’s a shrewd operator. He may not be interested in Roo at all!m

Btw once Rooney’s unhappiness became evident his “commerical value on the global market” fell through the floor and seeing that Manchester United don’t want to renew his contract, its dropped even more. I don’t even know why you’re using the phrase “commerical value” he’s not a product, he’s a person and there’s 10x more variables that go into the actual “sale price” of a player. The fact that he doesn’t want to be there, wants to play in the world cup, has a poor relationship with David Moyes, rightly believes he has nothing to prove as he is in his prime at 27, and lastly shouldn’t have to play second to RVP that leaves me with the conclusion that you are delusional, and should just give up on whatever you’re trying to do here, because its certainly just another poor attempt to turn things on Chelsea like Manchester united did with our bid for Rooney, by saying it was a £20mil bid plus Juan Mata or David Luiz when it was a cash only deal. You guys are just ruining your own reputation because youre desperate for top class players and you’ve had a hard time in the past few years due to financial strain. Your best bet is to either wait it out or stop talking trash and make a fair deal for Rooney that isn’t at the full “Market value” due to the current circumstances.

Whoever wrote this article is the one that’s trying to stir things up. Just another die hard Manchester United fan that can’t seem to deal with the fact that Rooney wants out and seeing that he’s unhappy, he’s not playing first team football, and the manager even told the press he’s a sure back up to RVP why should Manchester united get a full transfer value for him? With those wages as a back up and on top of being pissed off theres no viable reason to keep him for full value anyway and Chelsea knows that, and knowing that Chelsea is Rooneys first choice Mourinho is just doing what he does best by taking advantage of it.Honestly, I’m actually surprised more of these BS articles haven’t shown up yet.

Jose Mourinho is a controversial man. He’s a confusionist! He’s just trying to create an unnecessary distraction and confusion by going after Rooney. He doesn’t need him (Rooney) as much as he claimed! Man U was his greatest fear during his first stint as Chelsea’s manager and how, he’s back with his usual attitude trying to create an uneasy tension and controversy ! He’s a great manager no doubt but his character is not healthy for footbal sighting all the heat and hatred he caused between Real Madrid and Barca players while in Spain.
