Manchester United have submitted an improved second bid for Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas believed to be in the region of £30 million plus add-ons according to Sky Sports.
United’s original bid of €30 million was never officially rejected by Barcelona although the club reiterated that Fabregas was not for sale this summer.
Although, now that United have stepped up their interest with a second offer for Fabregas, it really indicates their intention to try and sign him this summer.
David Moyes has remained coy on who his top transfer targets were this year but given that he has now submitted two offers for Fabregas, the Scot has played his hand.
It is still going to be extremely difficult for United to land Fabregas as Barcelona have already let Thiago leave this summer but it is a really positive sign that United are genuinely in the market for a world class midfielder this year.

It looks like the new mgt is good at publicising their bids than being ruthless at the mkt. Just look at city’s approach. I fear we will end up relying on heavy legs of Giggs and Anderson.
surely if we have returned with an improved offer then we have been given some sort of indication a deal is on if were willing to oay now that could be either from the player or club
United why? Why wasting time on a player that is not for sale? Moyes what is happening? Why can united sign a player without all these long stories that touch
Submitting 2 bids for a player barca say is not for sell is a waste of time. United are sending a message that they are willing to buy players that arent for sell. Makes no sense. Bale, fabs strootman, thiago, top tier talent wont be heading our way
