Real Zaragoza have admitted they are interesting in signing Manchester United’s Angelo Henriquez this season.
The 19-year-old has had limited impact at United so far with the U21s and despite spending an unproductive loan spell at Wigan last year, Henriquez may consider a move away from the first team an opportunity to secure first team football (something that should happen more often).
“We are very interested in Angelo Henriquez,” Herrera is quoted as saying in El Mercurio.
“We have been following him and we hope to get a response from their club soon.”
“He is a striker full of technical qualities, could be a good signing.”
Zaragoza have returned to La Liga after a one year absence following their relegation from Europe’s most prestigious league. and the style of Spanish football would suit Henriquez’s very direct style of play.
With Rooney, Van Persie, Hernandez and Welbeck in the squad (ignoring Will Keane), there is very little chance that Henriquez will get his opportunities at Old Trafford next year, so a loan spell would benefit both the player and United.
