Marchisio leaves door open for Manchester United move

Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio has claimed his dream is to end his career in Turin but has refused to rule out a move away saying that ‘you never know’ in football.

Manchester United were linked with a €30 million bid for the midfielder and earlier on this season, he admitted he was proud of interest from United.

But Marchisio has moved to semi-quash a move away from the Old Lady. Speaking to Gazzetto dello Sport, Marchisio said: “My dream is to still end my career with Juventus.

“Even if I know that in football, you never know. Every summer the possibility that I might go away is always talked about.

“I’m certainly glad that big European clubs are linked to my name.”

The 27-year-old midfielder’s statement is a bit ambiguous. If his dream is to finish his career at Juventus, then why would he discuss the possibility of moving away? His statement reminds me of Cristiano Ronaldo’s mystic comments before he left United in 2009, so don’t take his word for gospel.
