Fellaini on verge of Manchester United move claim Belgian press

by Sam Peoples

Marouane Fellaini is on the verge of completing a ‘dream move’ to Manchester United according to Belgium’s HLN

Reports suggest that United have entered into dialogue with Everton over the past 24 hours with steps now being taken to push the deal through but that a fee has yet to be agreed.

Currently, Fellaini is away with Everton on their pre-season tour of America and neither the club or player is expected to confirm anything as of yet but with just over three weeks left in the transfer window, movement would have to happen very soon.

Many United fans see the possibility of United signing Fellaini as the wrong move to make having missed out on Thiago Alcantara and potentially Cesc Fabregas but I disagree.

“United fans will continue to pray for a stellar signing, and look up towards the stars. But sometimes you need something practical. There is no use in building a weapon like jet fighter plane, unless you give it the engine it needs, to fly high and destroy its chosen targets. Fellaini can be Manchester United’s engine for many years to come. And the irony? United fans will love him for that…” Rob, The Faithful MUFC

Moyes knows Fellaini better than all of us. He brought him to Everton for a club record fee but it was a justified move after the Belgian blossomed into a very good midfielder who kept on improving.

And if he feels that Fellaini has the credentials and ability to translate that at Old Trafford, then fans will have to trust his judgement.

Rob over at The Faithful MUFC has summed up perfectly just why the bite and grit of Fellaini would bring something to the United squad that Fabregas or Thiago wouldn’t be able to. I’d encourage you to have a read.
