Paddy Crerand has sent Twitter into a wild storm after saying that Cristiano Ronaldo had arrived at Manchester airport today following a caller on MUTV.
Today is the ten year anniversary of United signing Ronaldo from Sporting Lisbon in 2003 and Twitter had already been talking about Ronaldo all day but it then exploded following Crerand’s comments on MUTV.
Bear in mind, this is the same Paddy Crerand that said Sir Alex Ferguson wasn’t retiring moments before he did and struggles to tell the difference between Welbeck and Zaha, so don’t take Crerand’s word as gospel.
There has been no confirmation of any sighting yet and Manchester Airport responded to the rumours by denying any sighting of Ronaldo today but then again, the nature of private jets is that they are (funnily enough) private.
For those asking, we haven't seen Christiano today!

However, Sport Witness has pointed out that Ronaldo was actually in the Algarve last night as he was given an extra days rest by the Portuguese national squad ahead of their friendly against Holland on Sunday and pictures have emerged of Ronaldo reportedly in Portugal today, so it looks like he isn’t in Manchester just yet unfortunately.

Reports claimed that Real Madrid were buying Bale in preparation for Ronaldo’s exit and now that the #7 shirt is free at United, rumours are going to be rife if Bale does indeed move to Spain so prepare for an explosive end to the transfer.
