Manchester United have €40 million bid for Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira rejected

Manchester United have had a €40 million bid for Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira rejected according to reports emerging from Spain.

Cadena COPE and MARCA have both reported that the deal was flatly rejected by Real Madrid who have no intention of selling Khedira despite an influx of players including Illaramendi and Isco.

Madrid are looking to offload German compatriot Mesut Ozil to Arsenal in a €50 million deal but have no intention of selling Khedira to United.

The 26-year-old has been an integral part of Madrid’s team since moving to Spain after the 2010 World Cup but despite United’s strong €40 million offer, he won’t be playing at Old Trafford this season.

David Moyes’ decision to submit such a big bid would indicate that he is either not satisfied with just Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini or that he is worried one of the deals will fall through.
