Marouane Fellaini has handed in an official transfer request at Everton according to multiple reports from national newspapers that would bring his move to Manchester United one step closer.
Everton are yet to confirm or deny reports that the 25-year-old has handed in a transfer request.
Fellaini left Everton’s training ground Finch Farm in the last 15 minutes and it is expected that he is on way to Carrington in order to complete a deal with David Moyes.
The Belgian handing in an official transfer request could potentially save Everton millions of pounds in a signing on fee that would have been paid over a number of years if the player had moved without handing in a transfer request, so it would be one of the final steps in negotiating his move to Old Trafford.
Roberto Martinez has remained at Finch Farm as negotiations continue.
