Juventus and Tevez try their hardest to lure another Manchester United player away

Juventus have had a long term interest in bringing Nemanja Vidic to Serie A and today, Carlos Tevez has tried to butter him up as the Italian club ups their interest.

Yesterday, Tuttosport ran a front page story and claimed that Vidic delayed contract talks in order to concentrate on his football.

Apart from a couple of hiccups along the way, Vidic has returned to his best form this season and David Moyes has already intimated that he will hand the Serbian a new contract before the end of the year, so a move looks unlikely.

Despite that, Tevez has hailed Vidic and said he would be very suited to Serie A.

“Of course he’d be very suitable for the Italian championship,” Tevez told Tuttosport.

“He’s very strong, a really good defender. I played with him and against him, when I moved to Manchester City.”

Back in Serbia, Vidic is on the back page of Blic and they also mention Juventus’ interest in our captain.

However, despite all this interest from Juventus, Vidic’s agent claimed that they have talked to nobody about a move away from Old Trafford in the summer.

He said: “We are talking with no-one, this is all pub talk – this is the first time I heard that news and I don’t know where it came from.

“We’re talking about the captain of Manchester United here, not just any player. Vidic has no problems with United – all the talk is hot air.”

Juventus chief Marotta also talked about Januzaj today. It seems Juventus’ staff and players can’t stop talking about United players.

But Moyes clearly wants to give Vidic a new contract and negotiations with Januzaj are progressing fast, so Juventus will have to go sniffing around another club for new players.
