United’s American hotshot hits the ground running with goalscoring debut

by Sam Peoples

Yesterday, The Peoples Person brought you the news about Manchester United taking on Nick Taitague, a 14-year-old American winger, on trial for ten days and he has hit the ground running straight away in England.

He scored in United’s Under-15s 5-2 win over Burnley last night to give himself the perfect start to his trial at Carrington.

Coming over to England will be a daunting occasion for someone so young but scoring in his first appearance is the perfect way to settle his nerves.

Taitague is considered one of the best prospects in America so it is great that United have got in so early to give him a trial.

If he can impress our academy staff enough, scoring on his debut is an indication he might do just that, then there is every chance he will be offered a spot in our academy. Good luck, Nick.
