PICTURE: RVP reveals best moment of his career came at Manchester United

Robin van Persie has revealed that ‘maybe’ the best moment of his career was when he lifted the Premier League trophy in his first season with Manchester United.

The 30-year-old had spent eight long years at Arsenal without getting his hands on the title but he succeeded after just one at Old Trafford.

It wasn’t just a case of van Persie being along for the ride either. He was probably the most important player in our title winning campaign.

From a hat-trick away at Southampton to a last minute winner at Manchester City and a stunning hat-trick at home to seal the title against Aston Villa, van Persie’s goals were essential to us taking back our title from City. He was the signing of the season.

He may not have started this season at the pace he did the last but when he regains his full fitness, van Persie will no doubt be firing in the goals left, right and centre again.
