PICTURE: David Moyes shows fantastic personal touch as United manager

by Sam Peoples

David Moyes may be a busy man now but it hasn’t stopped him from taking the time out to interact with Manchester United fans.

He responded to a letter written to him by Steve Hobin, co-author of Sons of United, to thank him for sending a copy of his fantastic book that follows the history of how United’s youth sides were created and documents their progress in detail.

Moyes also insisted that when he gets time, he will sit down and read up on the history of United’s youth system. It is good to hear that the Scot will take some time out to clue himself up on what makes United such a special club.

Also, it is a fantastic touch from Moyes to send personal letters back to those who take the time to contact him and he has presented himself very well in his short tenure so far as United manager.

“Detailing every F.A. Youth Cup game involving United as well as numerous tours, Sons of United is an encyclopaedia of facts, player accounts, photographs, information, biographies and much more is now available.”
