The 18-year-old would be eligible to play for England in a few years due to the nationality rule but he has never indicated he would want to despite the widespread claims.
Januzaj being linked with England has been nothing more than a media campaign by the British press and De Vriese has moved to kill the rumours immediately.
“I want to make clear that he has not yet taken a decision,” De Vriese told Voetbal Nieuws.
“We want to first see him as a base player at his club we can look back on.”
Januzaj’s representation has been very firm that nothing will influence their decision as to where he will pledge his future for club and country and It is clear that they have a vision as to what they want.
Yesterday’s outburst from Januzaj’s father came after comments from Belgium’s coach Marc Wilmots regarding his future and his representation is working very hard to stop any rumours from gathering pace.
Today, Januzaj will give his first interview where he expected to discuss his future for the first time. The Peoples Person will bring you the latest news when it happens.
