Rafael has taken to his official Instagram account to issue a simple message to Manchester United fans – ‘United till I die’.
Yesterday’s draw against Southampton means that United have taken just five points from their opening four games at Old Trafford this season and now sit eight points behind Arsenal at the top of the table, but it is early doors in the season despite the poor start.
The 23-year-old’s rallying cry is the sort of passion you want to see from our players during what is going to be our toughest season in a long time as David Moyes is still finding his feet as United manager.
Ultimately, how our season shapes up is down to how well the players play and we’ll need some strong characters both on and off the pitch.
Nothing is lost yet by any stretch of the imagination and there is a lot of time for United to make up the eight point gap but it will start to become a real worry if United cannot put together a run of results sooner rather than later.
