Javier Hernandez gets the news he has been waiting for at United

David Moyes rubbished rumours that Javier Hernandez will leave Manchester United in January and has said that the Mexican will feature in a lot of games before the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has had a peripheral role so far this season under Moyes and his form with Mexico suffered as a consequence leading to speculation that Chicharito may seek a move away in order to get some more game time.

But when questioned at yesterday’s press conference, Moyes insisted that Hernandez had a big role to play in the squad this year.

“Chicharito will be involved,” he said.

“There a lot of games here and he will play a lot of games before the end of the season.”

Game time is all that Hernandez wants so he will be relieved to hear Moyes’ show of faith in him and for someone so prolific in front of goal, he should get more game time than he does even if our squad has an embarrassment of riches in attack.

Nobody is like Hernandez and his natural instinct for goal makes him such a threat for United. Moyes needs to make sure he is kept happy and wants to stay at Old Trafford because strikers of his quality are a rare breed, especially those who have remained so positive despite a lack of minutes.
