Manchester United can still make a move to sign Desportivo’s Bruno Gomes and have first refusal on him up until he turns 18.
There were rumours that United’s purchase option for Bruno had expired but The Peoples Person can confirm that does not expire until he turns 18, the age where he can legally sign professional terms with a club in Brazil.
The 17-year-old has a prolific goalscoring record at youth level in Brazil and earned a call-up to the Under-17 national side this year. Natural goalscorers are always highly sought after in football so Gomes will no doubt be snapped up once he turns 18, whether that will be United remains to be seen.
Gomes was once again active on Twitter tonight as he retweeted United fans who had asked him whether he will move to Old Trafford, something which he does regularly if only to keep his name on the lips of United fans. Currently, Gomes is in Milan with his family visiting Europe and his representatives have previously confirmed that there are Italian clubs interested in signing him.
It is a bit of a surprise that United haven’t made a move for Gomes but there is still time for David Moyes to make a move if he wants to make him the latest Brazilian to move to Old Trafford.
