Anderson has taken to his official Instagram page to once again make it very clear that he is very happy at Manchester United and doesn’t want to leave.
The 25-year-old’s comments come alongside an interview with ManUtd.com where he reiterated the same point that Old Trafford is where he wants to be.
“I’m very happy at Manchester United it’s the best club in the world. I do not want to leave,” Anderson said on his Instagram.
In August, Anderson gave a very candid interview where he admitted that he needed to get fit and lose weight. It looked like a turning point for the Brazilian because accepting that he needed to change gave fans a belief that he would fulfil his potential this season and the impressive pre-season only increased optimism.
However, nothing has changed. He still warms the bench and David Moyes hasn’t trusted him enough to play him.
As a person, Anderson is a great character to have around but as a player, he is far away from being a first choice player at Old Trafford.
Now is his last chance. The ‘big season’ label was slapped onto this year for Anderson, as it has been for the past four years, but this one feels like it is his last shot at breathing life into his United career. If he doesn’t take this chance, it could be curtains for him.
