Hernandez’s agent confirms other clubs want him but Manchester United won’t sell

Javier Hernandez’s agent has confirmed that Manchester United have no intention of letting the Mexican leave Old Trafford in the foreseeable future.

The 25-year-old has been forced to settle or a bit part role at United so far this season with Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck all being preferred to him in a starting role.

As a consequence of that, Hernandez has been linked with a move away and this week had reportedly been offered to Inter Milan in a rejected swap deal for Fredy Guarin.

His agent Eduardo Hernandez did confirm the interest from other European clubs but admitted he wasn’t going to leave United.

“They confirmed that there has been interest from some European clubs, but that they aren’t planning to let him go,” he said.

“They are aware that he hasn’t played much, but little by little he’ll integrate more.”

There are few players as professional as Hernandez and United would be silly to let him go as he is the best goalscorer we have had since Ruud van Nistelrooy in terms of how prolific he is for much game time he gets.

The only worry with Hernandez is that he will get frustrated to the point that he will want to leave in order to get more regular game time but with Robin van Persie injured, he will get more opportunities.

Winning any competition depends on the strength of the squad and Hernandez is essential in that respect, so Moyes has to make sure that he keeps him happy and stops any discontent from bubbling over.
