David Moyes has been nominated for the Barclays Premier League December manager of the month award.
Manchester United won four matches, drew two and lost two in what was a poor first half of the month followed by a brilliant finish that saw us win six games in a row in all competitions.
It wasn’t the best month United have ever had but it was an impressive run of wins that was enough to get United back into contention towards the top of the table. Unfortunately, a loss to Tottenham on New Year’s Day has put the pressure back on United once again.
Moyes has been nominated for the award alongside Jose Mourinho, Manuel Pellegrini and Roberto Martinez.
Given that Pellegrini and City won six out of seven matches in December, he will be the likely recipient of the award but at least a nomination might be a confidence boost for Moyes who most certainly needs it right now.
