Lucas Moura’s agent Wagner Ribeiro has ruled out a move away from Paris St Germain this year despite the fact he believes Moura still isn’t getting enough playing time.
The 21-year-old was linked with a move to Manchester United as David Moyes watched him in action this week against Bordeaux where he was named man of the match.
However, Ribeiro has said that leaving Paris is not part of Moura’s plans in the future as he is slowly starting to cement his place in the side.
“Lucas Moura isn’t playing as much as we want, but he has been playing the most important games,” he said.
“It’s not part of the plans to leave Paris now, he is slowing gaining his place in the team.”
Moura was close to moving to United when he joined PSG last year for an astronomical €45 million thanks a last minute hijack from the French side.
Reports linking him with a move away stem from his slow start in Paris last season. Although, with three goals and five assists in 24 appearances this year, Moura has begun to find his feet and his agent has indicated he is happy in the French capital.
Moura’s contract doesn’t expire until the summer of 2017 but he would be the statement signing you feel Moyes’ reign needs to get started. However, as good as Moura would be at Old Trafford, it looks unlikely that he will become that marquee transfer.
