Moyes: I don’t know what we have to do to win

David Moyes remained defiant in defeat after Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Stoke City this afternoon and went as far as to claim that United should have won the game.

Speaking after the match, he said:”I don’t know what we have to do to win.

“I thought we were extremely unlucky. We played well in difficult conditions but we have lost to one wicked deflection and one worldy.

“But we should have been out of sight with the amount of opportunities we had today and we only have ourselves to blame.”

Moyes is doing himself absolutely no favours with comments like that. Simply put, United deserved to lose. Yes we had a couple of chances that may have been converted on another day but we didn’t create anywhere near enough of them. Stoke put us to the sword for the majority of the 90 minutes and it was a drab performance from us.

For Moyes to try and label that performance as good, despite the fact we all saw how bad it was, is a bit of a farce. United fans are trying to remain positive in what has been a tough season but when United resort to playing the long ball game against Stoke and Moyes still calls it a good performance, something isn’t right.
