Talented winger could sign for Manchester United after joining squad this week for trial

Derry City winger Joshua Tracey had a trial with Manchester United last week ahead of a potential move, according to the Londonderry Sentinel

The 17-year-old spent some time at Carrington training with the first team squad and also joined Everton or a trial before he was forced back to Derry with a groin injury.

With so many youngsters leaving the club on loan as well as permanent deals, there is going to be some spaces opening up in our academy as a few of our Under-18s will be moved up to the Under-21s squad, which is where Tracey could fit in.

United have had a few Northern Irishman play for them over the years including the likes of Norman Whiteside and current centre back Jonny Evans, so Tracey could join esteemed company if United decided to offer him a deal.
