David Moyes has confirmed that Rafael suffered concussion after a nasty fall against Arsenal but indicated it wasn’t anything too serious.
The 23-year-old had to be taken off at half time because of the injury and as it was such an awkward landing, there were fears it could have seen him sidelined once again – but it sounds like he will be OK.
“Rafael is concussed, but he’s okay. He seems okay just now,” Moyes said after the game.
Rafael has had an injury laden season so far and it has really stopped him from getting back to his best form because he hasn’t been on the same level he set himself with last year’s performances.
United have played haggard football in the last few games and something needs to happen to improve our current situation so for Rafael and the rest of the squad, a warm weather training camp could be the perfect break from England that is needed to get back to full fitness and condition.
