Wilfried Zaha (Cardiff City) – Zaha played 61 minutes in Cardiff’s goalless draw with Aston Villa and had the ball in the net in the 35th minute, only to see it ruled out for offside. He was a threat going forward particularly in the first half with a few dangerous crosses but was replaced just after the hour mark by Mats Daehli.
Tom Lawrence (Yeovil Town) – Lawrence made his first start for Yeovil Town in their 1-1 draw with Millwall. He played predominantly on the right wing and had a couple of decent efforts on goal. David Forde managed to tip his first around the post for a corner. Forde managed to parry another Lawrence shot to deny the young Welshman. He was substituted off in the 83rd minute.
Federico Macheda (Birmingham City) – Macheda played the full match as Birmingham lost 1-0 to Watford. He was lucky to escape punishment when the referee Mark Haywood somehow missed his blatant hand ball in the Birmingham box. His best chance was a long range effort but he wasn’t able to continue his recent goal-scoring form.
Tyler Blackett (Birmingham City) – Blackett was an unused substitute in Birmingham’s 1-0 loss to Watford.
Sam Byrne (Carlisle United) – Byrne came on in the 67th minute as Carlisle were leading 1-0. He didn’t have much of am impact on the game other than being booked for a foul on Andrew Davies in the 73rd minute.
Charni Ekangamene (Carlisle United) – Ekangamene was an unused substitute as Carlisle won 1-0 against Bradford City.
Will Keane (Queen’s Park Rangers) – Will was not included in QPR’s squad which lost 1-0 to Derby County.
Jack Rudge (Torquay United) – Rudge was not included in Torquay’s squad which lost 2-1 to Northampton Town.
Anderson (Fiorentina) – Anderson was an unused substitute in Fiorentina’s 2-0 win against Udinese in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, which saw them win 3 – 2 on aggregate.
