Shinji Kagawa was given a starting role for Japan today against New Zealand in their international friendly and it was a chance for him to show David Moyes why he should feature more often for Manchester United – it didn’t take him long to do just that.
After only four minutes, Kagawa grabbed an assist with a perfectly weighted lofted through ball from the halfway line that his team-mate finished to put Japan 1-0 up. It was the perfect example of how good his distribution can be when he gets it right.
Less than five minutes after that, Kagawa got on the score sheet himself. He certainly wasn’t wasting any time to make an impact against New Zealand.
