Antoine Griezmann backed to shine by Manchester United scouts as interest grows

Manchester United’s French scout David Friio has tipped Antoine Griezmann to be a real impact player for France at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 22-year-old made his international debut against Holland on Wednesday night and although nerves got the better of him, he is widely expected to become an important player for France in the future.

Griezmann has taken La Liga by storm this season with 15 goals and three assists in 21 appearances which has led to him being linked with a move to Manchester United, something Friio could well suggest to David Moyes.

“Greizmann would clearly bring something,” Friio told L’Equipe according to Sky Sports.

“His versatility and technique, in a tournament where the gaps are reduced, are real assets.

“You can’t score 15 goals in a great league without having real qualities.”

Moyes was in the crowd watching Griezmann against Holland this week and after the season United’s wingers have had, someone young and exciting with goals in them like Griezmann would be the perfect boost to our squad.

Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj are the only two indispensable wingers in our current crop of players and in a summer where plenty of ins and outs are expected, Griezmann could well be on Moyes’ shopping list.

What do you think about Griezmann? Is he good enough for Manchester United?
