Kroos reveals the news Manchester United fans have been waiting to hear

Toni Kroos has revealed that he will not rule out a move away from Bayern Munich to a club without Champions League football in news that will be music to the ears of Manchester United fans.

The 24-year-old’s uncertain future at Bayern Munich has been well documented but despite stalled negotiations and contract delays, many saw Manchester United’s more than likely absence from the Champions League next season as a real stumbling block for a potential move for Kroos.

However, he has admitted he is happy to play for a club without Champions League football if he were to leave Bayern Munich in the summer.

Kroos also hinted that a switch to the Premier League is something that would appeal to him.

“No decision has been made and no agreements have been reached,” he said at a press conference ahead of Bayern Munich’s game against Arsenal according to ESPN.

“It will stay like this until the summer, then a decision will be made. It is no secret that the Premier League is an interesting league.”

In the tug of war with Bayern Munich, this is Kroos’ trump card so far. Now, the pressure is back on the German club to respond and try to get the ball back in their court.

Given Bayern Munich’s previous warnings that Kroos should not try to overplay his hand in the contract negotiation process, he clearly hasn’t listened to that advice.
