David Moyes’ position as Manchester United manager has come under increasing scrutiny this month and United’s board have begun to look for a replacement, according to Duncan Castles.
The 3-0 loss at home against Liverpool was the turning point for the British press as from that point onwards, pressure has been building and another capitulation at Old Trafford, this time at the hands of Manchester City, was the tipping point for many fans who had remained patient despite drubbings against Olympiacos and Liverpool.
From anyone associated with the club, the word is that Moyes is fully backed.
The Guardian released an article earlier stating that Moyes is still backed by the Glazers while Sir Bobby, Butt, Scholes and Cantona have all separately backed him but there is no denying that his position as manager is becoming more untenable with every limp performance from United.
All season, fans have sung Moyes’ name and supported him but we have done nothing but get worse as a team. Instead of progression, there has been regression and the possibility of Moyes leaving is growing stronger.
