Manchester United’s scouts have been busy all season ahead of what is going to be one of the biggest summer transfer windows the club has seen in the Premier League.

With plenty of players expected to leave and new players arrive in their place, the squad is going to have a major reshuffle this summer.

There have been a whole host of players linked with a move to Manchester United this year.

The likes of Edison Cavani, Fabio Coentrao and Ilkay Gundogan have all been touted as possible targets but The Telegraph‘s Mark Ogden has singled out three players who Ed Woodward has been told United should sign – Toni Kroos, Luke Shaw and William Carvalho.

Reports suggested that provisional fees had already been agreed by Manchester United for two players but how likely is it that those provisional fees are for any of that trio?

If there is one player who Manchester United would have already agreed a provisional fee for, it’s Carvalho.

Having scouted him inside out all season, there wouldn’t be many other teams better placed to put an offer in for him and with the World Cup coming up, securing Carvalho before the competition began would be good for the club as his value will no doubt increase thanks to his participation in the tournament.

It would be in Sporting Lisbon’s best interest to hold onto him until after the summer to improve his value but United may well have already agreed on a provisional price.
