He beat a host of other talented youngsters such as Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma, Paris St Germain’s Marquinhos and Schalke’s Max Meyer to the award and it is a testament to the impact he has had at Manchester United despite our poor season.
Earlier this year, Januzaj was also nominated for the prestigious Golden Boy trophy award which Paul Pogba eventually won but his title from Gazzetta Dello Sport is fantastic in itself.
Januzaj may only be 19 but he is already held in high regard at Old Trafford. When he came on against Aston Villa last week, he posed more attacking threat in a cameo substitute appearance than Ashley Young did in the whole game and going into next season and since his breakthrough goals against Sunderland, has been considered a vital player in the first team squad.
He has been eased back out of the team this year by David Moyes, something which has been criticised by plenty of fans, but so long as Manchester United can fend off any interest this summer, Januzaj is going to be one of our most influential players for years to come.
