Robin van Persie is back in Holland right now undergoing treatment on his sprained knee.

David Moyes revealed this week that the Dutchman’s rehabilitation is going well and that he could be in line to make a return before the end of the season for Manchester United if his treatment continues to progress at the same rate.

It was widely expected that Van Persie’s last game this season would be his hat-trick appearance against Olympiacos but that might not be the case which is good news for his World Cup hopes.

Out in Holland, Van Persie has taken the time to catch up with a few people, namely Holland boss Louis Van Gaal and Edwin Van Der Sar.

He attended Vitesse’s 1-1 draw against Ajax with Van Gaal at the weekend.

He also met up with one of Manchester United’s best Dutch players, Edwin Van Der Sar.

Hopefully for Van Persie’s sake he can return before the end of the season ahead of the World Cup but Manchester United have genuinely played some of our best football in his absence as it has allowed Juan Mata and Shinji Kagawa’s partnership to flourish, something which places a question over whether Manchester United are stronger with Van Persie in or out of the starting XI.
