The latest episode in the Toni Kroos saga sees The Mirror claim he has told his Bayern Munich teammates that he wants to join Manchester United in the summer.
Last week, Kroos admitted he enjoyed playing at Old Trafford which gave United fans another reason to get excited about the possibility of him joining in the summer but he did insist he was happy with Pep Guardiola’s decision to substitute him against Manchester United, despite being visibly frustrated.
With contract negotiations delayed until the summer, rife speculation has continued to gather pace in recent weeks and these reports from The Mirror claim Kroos has made it clear to his teammates that United is where he wants to be.
It would certainly be an incredible scoop if a Bayern player told The Mirror exclusively that he wanted to join United given that The Mirror is banned from the Allianz Arena because Bayern were not happy with headlines about Schweinsteiger after the first leg.
Unfortunately, John Cross is the man behind the article and any man who seriously claims that Arsene Wenger is the best manager in the history of the Premier League can’t be trusted.
Kroos may well leave Bayern in the summer if they don’t offer him the improved contract he is after but right now, negotiations between him and Bayern are currently at a stalemate.
