Manchester United have already met Louis Van Gaal and taken first steps towards bringing him in – report

Louis Van Gaal has already met with Manchester United officials and the club has taken the first steps towards appointing him as the new manager, according to ESPN‘s Miguel Delaney.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf are reporting that Van Gaal met with United officials ten days ago and Goal.com has suggested he has already informed his friends that he wants to take up the vacant position.

In terms of availability, Van Gaal has already made it clear he wants to manage in the Premier League and he has already announced he would be stepping down from the Dutch national team after the World Cup, something which is seen as a positive from United’s perspective.

It may have only been a few hours since David Moyes was sacked as Manchester United manager but the Van Gaal rumours are moving at a whirlwind pace already and he certainly looks like one of the favourites to get the job.
