The past 48 hours hours have been a whirlwind for Manchester United since David Moyes left the club.
Plenty of managers have been linked with the job – Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti but it is Louis Van Gaal who is considered the bookies favourites.
Now, reports are suggesting that Manchester United have already held talks with Van Gaal about transfer targets and players who we were ‘closing in’ on.
Understand that transfer targets and players #mufc were 'closing in' on already discussed with Van Gaal.

Van Gaal is currently on holiday in Portugal but has made himself available for talks and it would be the first step from United if these talks did take place.
Of course, United will more than likely tell every candidate about their targets as part of the interview process, so Van Gaal being informed does not mean he is going to get the job.
However, what talks would show is that United aren’t beating around the bush in finding Moyes’ replacement and are going to move as swiftly as possible to get someone in quickly, ensuring they have enough time to make a difference in the summer window after the World Cup.
